Linda B. Spangrud is President and Owner of Spangrud & Associates, Inc. and brings almost 40 years of grant experience to the company. She retired in 2005 with 34 years in education in the state of Illinois where she served as a teacher, principal, and district administrator. Linda’s last six years were served as the Director of Grants, Planning, and Technology. During her tenure in education, she wrote over 470 grants (federal, state, foundations, and corporate) and raised over $180 million, having a 93 percent success rate. In total, Linda has now written over 1,000 grants and has raised over $207 million. Linda also served as a juror and reviewed many foundations, state, and federal (US Department of Education) grant competitions.
Linda has a passion for designing programs that assist her clients in meeting their needs and receiving the grant funding they need to be successful. She specializes in education, daycare operation, museums, fine arts, and social services. She holds three degrees: Bachelor of Science in Education and Sociology from the University of Iowa; Master of Arts in Early Childhood with an emphasis in Special Education from Northern Illinois University; and a Certification of Advanced Study in Administration and Supervision from National Louis University.
Besides grants, Linda is a freelance writer and has published books and articles in magazines and newspapers. Her recent children's book, "Miss Ella and the Turtle People," describes the protection, care, and conservation of the sea turtles. This book imparts lessons about the sanctity of life, both in the sea and in humans of all ages.

Grant Proposal Development/Writing: Provide a thorough review of the client’s strategic plan, grant requirements and previous proposals, grant research, client meetings and correspondence, and preparation of draft and final proposal sections.
Grant Proposal Editing/Review: Provide grant grooming assistance by reviewing, proofing, and editing proposals for correct grammar, paragraph/sentence structure, and typos and to ensure the content, format, and flow of the document is aligned to the Request for Proposal and funding guidelines.
Grant Research: Search and development of potential funding sources.
